Description
This skull is carved with a full feathered headdress, each feather incised into banded white and gray stone with deep purple amethyst running through the layers. At the top, the headdress opens into a cavity of purple amethyst crystals. The face is formed from quartz, amethyst and agate, with a crystal-filled left eye socket, a white crystal in the right, and patches of banded agate across the brow and nose. Natural color, nothing dyed. The material comes from Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
