Description
Large, glossy amethyst crystals in deep purple cover this broad, rounded cluster, with lighter lavender tips along the upper edge. Two white calcite crystals rise from the center: a tall, cone-shaped crystal with a stepped, matte surface and a smaller one beside it, like candles against the dark purple. The white calcite stands out sharply from the glossy amethyst around it. A pale green-gray rind shows along the base. Natural color, nothing dyed. From Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
